So far, companies could use the Linkedin Company pages to share their content, disseminate information, and build a following. Linkedin has now gone one step forward. It has introduced the Linkedin Showcase Pages.
This gives companies an opportunity to build a Linkedin Showcase Page for each of its products. For instance, the Microsoft Company Page on Linkedin shared updates on all its products ranging from Xbox to Microsoft Office to Windows 8.
It is quite possible that Xbox followers may not be so interested in Windows 8 updates. But they had to wade through Windows 8 content to locate Xbox updates.
The Linkedin Showcase Pages do away with this inconvenience. Microsoft, in fact, has taken advantage of the new feature by launching its Microsoft Office Showcase Page. Similarly, Adobe has launched the Adobe Marketing Cloud Showcase page.
Linkedin brings out the advantage of Showcase Pages in the blog post that announced the rollout of the new feature. “Whether it’s a brand, a business unit, or an initiative, following a Showcase Page will provide you the updates you are most interested in,” noted Linkedin.
The Showcase Pages are easy to follow. You just have to click on the “Follow” button, and you will get to see all the Updates about the product or service of your interest.
The Showcase Pages are easy to create. Explains Linkedin: “First, identify the business areas of your company that need a Showcase Page. Then go to the ‘Edit’ dropdown menu and select ‘Create a Showcase Page.’ Once created, you can start sharing content from your page.”
The Linkedin analytical tools also allow the page administrators to monitor the performance of their Showcase pages.
