How newspapers headlined Kejriwal ‘Delhuge’

Kejriwal headline

If the Arvind Kejriwal Delhuge drowned BJP and Congress in Delhi, then The Telegraph headline mufflered all newspapers.

The headline was nothing short of imagination unleashed. At one go, it made two telling statements. The first was it recorded Kejriwal’s triumph by embroidering his name 67 times on a muffler.

The second was even more symbolic. It was a powerful comment on BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s $10,000 designer suit, where a special stitch was used to embroider his name.

The symbolism could not be lost. The mufflerman was the common man, and the aam aadmi voted for him; the suit-man’s party was dumped.
