Facebook is not the only social media site that Indians flock to. Linkedin.com has emerged as yet another major destination for Indians.

The only difference is that Indians are logging on to Linkedin to build professional connections, and improve job prospects.

Andrew Lipsman of comScore.com in his blogpost Crossing Borders and Connecting People reveals that 8.3% of Internet users in India logged on to Linkedin.com in July 2010.

This puts India in the ninth spot, above Singapore, in the list of Top ten Linkedin using nations in the world.

Netherlands tops the list with as many as 15.2% of the country’s Internet users patronizing Linkedin. It was followed by Ireland (14.7%), Denmark (12.1%), Belgium (10.0%) and the U.K. (9.4%).
