Web content for which people may pay

Content producers need not be despondent. There are four forms of web content that can still have the cash registers ringing.

The four content forms, according to a study done by The Nielsen Company, are:

1. Theatrical Movies: As many as 46% of respondents globally are willing to pay for theatrical movies. Currently, 11% do so.

2. Professionally produced video: 42% of respondents are willing to pay for high quality videos, including videos of TV shows. Currenlty, 8% do so.

3. Music: Music is another segment that attracts users. 41% of respondents are willing to pay for music. This is not a surprise as 16% are already paying for music.

4. Games: 35% of respondents don’t mind paying for games. Currently, 16% do so.

The rider is this content has to be professionally produced and of high quality.
